Yes it is new. But nothing much has changed, except before I had to send a message asking an administrator to ban spammers or nuisance users from the forums. Now I get to do it myself.
I am still an independent volunteer user who doesn't necessarily speak on behalf of GOTD, so if I think something really sucks, I will say so. I've seen a few comments questioning if I should say anything critical of any giveaway software, but I think to heap false praise on substandard software is not good for either my own, or GOTDs credibility (besides most of our users are smarter than that and can see for themselves anyway).
but apart from the above.... there's nothing to see here... move it along... :)
bubby- i think your comments/criticisms/helpful bits of info are great(and i'm not the only one). your recent constant monitoring and cleaning of the comments pages is fantastic and super helpful. and your humor is enjoyed by many.
and when you have to "discipline" someone (ahem.....), you do it in the nicest possible way.

In fact, I know that by dslreports' timestamp it wuz before 2008-02-03 18:24:48, as I'd pm'd him by then, (wondering why his name wasn't in the mod list) and gone back over and posted info there requesting help for my fight with this &_&?^_(^_ 3com 3cr858-91 router and gizmo voip.
Google Talk just *doesn't* cut it.
So far the 'help' has been along the lines of 'turn off the SPI firewall?'. grr.

Firstly, Freeware Fan is not a moderator, and definitely no lady. (the long blond wig and heels are a disguise, but the hairy legs and beard and mustache are a big hint). ;)

If u click there, u can send him a message.
On the top of your profile page, do u see: "You have no new messages"
When the Mods answer or they want to send u a private message, u'll find it there.
So when u log-in to the forums, it's always a good idea to look there.
2-FreewareFan is a dude not a girl, but he is not a Mod. His hiatus is due to volunteering on another site (Gizmo), for a very wordy cause. We are all waiting to see, he'll tell us when it's finished.

4 - 5 h, otherwise my head would not awake all the day. And when should I try all those links, games, giggles...
graylox- 4-5hrs of sleep a night.....what a luxury!
between regular insomnia, worries, a 3year old and the #$%$#@$% internet (particularly this forum and all those links) sleep is a huge problem for me.
hi,funkymom if sleep is such a problem, why not avoid it totally by doing something really important like chatting, gaming, downloading useless proggies, mailing... ;)
unfortunately, that is exactly what i do.
i tell ya'- this was much less of a problem 20 years ago. but nowadays it's starting to take a toll on my body and mind.
Yeah, funky. I remember the toddler-times quite well.
But how dull would our days be, with only "have-to"s and no giggles. Surely you would not feel much better.
i'm not saying i'm going to change anything, just that i wouldn't mind a little more sleep. ;D
