I was shocked at the number of people who posted the same questions and answers on today's giveaway, and felt that I should write this request.

If somebody has a problem running or using a program, then you should let their comment through. However, if somebody else has said the exact same thing(again, asking for help about the program), why bother? The same thing goes for answers. I don't want to wade through pages and pages of comments about a missing DLL before people actually start talking about the program itself - I want to know what people think of it. I'm sure that you moderate multiple comments, so why not let the first help request through and forget about the rest? It would streamline the comments page a lot.

While you're at it, could you have the same comment system that the main site has on the game site? It's much better(you don't even get a preview or thumb ratings on the latter).

  2. Surely it's more fun posting on the main page how much everyone else annoys you by criticizing the way other people post.

The best way to make a good post is to describe how much the posts annoy you. Or Screensavers (because nobody has heard that viewpoint before).

And yes, I am being sarcastic (but honest).

My honest suggestion is just completely ignore the comments section altogether. Don't even look at it, or get baited. I actually don't even have enough time to delete the dross from there.

My point is that the comments shouldn't have to be ignored at all. I honestly don't see how my solution would be hard to implement, but if a mod thinks that it's unworkable, then it probably is.

Probably the best advise all the forum members can take. We as members have no idea actually how many posted comments are made before the really bad ones are moderated. I'm sure the entire staff gets "Fish Eyed" just going through them and remember that most of the staff aren't paid so they do a great job (in my opinion).

Thanks for the "Honest Suggestion" BuBBy.
