All I can do is confirm. I don't see a game on the site today either. :(

I also haven't heard anything yet. Use today to catch up on all the games you haven't finished yet. :)

LOL @ BuBBy! Guess this means I'd better catch up on real things, like taxes due the 15th! Maybe someone forgot to set their alarm clock? Seriously, I feel like my best friend just died! Didn't realize how much I look forward to finding something here every day!

At least I know it's not me! I was wondering if maybe my Firefox had developed a glitch and checked using IE7. That didn't work either.
I'm almost finished with level 4 of Treasures of Montezuma but I wanted to try something new. Oh, well. Maybe tomorrow.

I thought there would be a message too as I thought maybe this was just taking longer to put up. I really like seeing the new games even if I don't d/l them. It's kind of addictive. Treasures of Montezuma does rock. I've completed it quite a few times, now doing the harder level. I wish there were another game like that one. The bubble one they made isn't quite the same. Thanks! Looking forward to seeing what's next as always. Great site.

this has happened before, but never for this long... i honestly have thought for a while that they might start phasing out GGAOTD, as this sort of "lag" happens so often and their selection is often a bit limited, it seems. Sometimes i think they just run out of games. lucky you got to post about it, though! Whenever i post this problem my posts seem to go "missing". probably this reply will do the same.

Posts usually go missing because they are in the wrong area or they are inappropriate. Usually posting in the forums is the best place because it is a general purpose discussion area (but with rules).
The daily comments are being tightened up a little to stay on topic and be useful - so some posts never appear - or don't appear for very long.

Sometimes the switch from the previous offer take some time. Maybe they are just taking longer because no game was offered yesterday.

No. I just checked. It doesn't look like it is running late. If you are sitting up waiting for the game to appear - take my advice, go get some sleep.

I hope the constant complaining in the comments didn't frighten them off. There were some real little treasures lately which I keep coming back to regularly.

I too am suffering from GGAOTD withdrawal,LOL, been looking for two days.:) Well instead of getting a game i will take this time to thank everyone on the GGAOTD team for all there hard work and effort it takes to keep this site running. There isn't a lot of stuff around anymore that can put a smile on ones face and make you feel happy. I hope the new year brings you all the best, thanks Murphyslawqt p.s. hope everything and everybody is all right and thats not why no new game.

No need to worry - everyone is fine - there is no sinister reason for no games (although some people do love to speculate).
Simply put, some supplied games haven't arrived in time. Hopefully this week we will be back to normal with some exciting new games. (To tell the truth I'm starting to miss them also).

Because FreewareFan posted it yesterday garyvdh, but that's OK, we need all the resources we can get. LOL By the way, I downloaded The Blob from their listings yesterday and never could get it to work. All I ended up with was a black screen with a big white moveable arrow.
Oh well, at least I did accomplish something since there were no new games, got 198 frequencies entered into my police scanner.
Let's all be patient with the GOTD crew, I'm sure they're doing the best they can. Perhaps it means more good things to come!!!

I too went to the 101 free games site and found a free release of Railroad Tycoon -- except from what the posts say, no one has been able to get it to work. I won't bother trying either. I have the original, but since I could not get it to run under Win98, I hesitate to even try it using Win XP. (yeah, I know II is available, but spouse doesn't like it! LOL!) I was hoping the free release would be non-DOS Windows compatible.

First off, let me start by saying:
IN CASE YOU PEOPLE DIDN'T READ THE POSTS FROM BuBBy ABOVE, THE REASON THERE HAVE BEEN NO GIVEAWAYS IS THAT THE GAME DEVELOPERS HAVE HAD A DELAY IN GETTING THE GAMES TO SLAVA AND THE GGOTD TEAM.@BuBBy: Thanks for finding out what the problem was. Could you possibly post a quick note on the Game Giveaway home page that states why there are no game giveaways yet? I'm sure a lot of people don't quite know how to get to the forums, and those who do, I'm sure some are hesitant to register in order to add their comments. BTW it is nice to see short comments at the end of comment posts on the software giveaway site.
Thanks for all of your hard work, BuBBy, Slava, and the rest of the GOTD Team. Hope you are soon able to get the games. Keep up the good work!!
