I have been saving the programs I though I might be interested in to install when needed then I noticed an install deadline for today's program. Do all programs have an install deadline. If so that really sucks.

yes all programs given away here have deadline u should have read the Readme file sorry for any inconvenience

Yea.. you have to install it within the time it's being given away. You have 24 hours. There's a counter on the site's main page that let's you know how long you have left to download/install/activate the software.

I believe the developers of each days giveaway are paid based on each install (or something to that effect).
I guess the accounting and such becomes a lot easier when there is a definite start and end time/date. It also focuses everyones attention on one or two programs rather than trying to help people with 40 or 50 different programs on a single day (2 is usually more than enough).
Also visiting the site regularly is much more important when there is some urgency on not "missing out", instead of just putting it off until the weekend and "catching up".
But I understand fully - there have been several giveaways in the past I have missed because I was away from home, or busy - but the 24 hour limit applies to everyone equally.

This is a pretty aimless service then. I'm not going to trap myself into becoming reliant on the software, and then encounter a hard drive crash and lose everything. I will be deleting my account immediately.

All the giveaways I have them charged to my account. One day I'm sure they will send me the bill. ;)
