I cannot get past the main menu screen without receiving an error message: "game.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close". I've run DirectX Diagnostics and everything checks out fine. Have any clue as to why this is happening and/or any suggestions?

Here is the info on my system:
XP Home Edition - All updates current
    Pentium 4 - 3.00 GHz - Hyper-Thread
    510 MB RAM
    DirectX Version 9
Radeon X300/X500 Series with 128 MB memory

  2. I've got the same problem. But I have 2 GB RAM, XP home edition all updates, 512 MB PCI Express ATI Radeon X1900 XTX, DirectX V. 9 and much more. Why isn't it working?

  3. Same thing for me. I don't usually have download problems from this site but there seems to be a problem with this one.

Well since all of the comments here so far claims they can't get the game to run. I'll just add that I tried it on two and no problems. So it does work on some computers at least.

    Gateway Celeron M 370 (1.5GHZ)
    MX6124 (laptop) w/512MB
    Windows XP SP2
    IntelĀ® 910GML (64MB shared)

    HP AMD Athlon 1.2 GHZ
    384MB of RAM
    Windows XP SP2
    NVIDIA GeForce2 MX400 (64MB installed)

A lot of games that won't work, generally speaking are do to either new or old video drivers. Yes sometimes newer video drivers breaks things. Of course, lots of other things can too. But video drivers are probably the number one problem for most.

Same for me, when I select a game or options it crashes. AMD Athlon 2 GHz, 1 GB of RAM, 128 MB of video RAM and Windows XP Pro Service Pack 2 DirectX 9.

  10. I have no idea, from earlier posts it seems like that XP Pro would run but any other flavor of XP doesn't. W2K works too from reports. But after what keirallan said I'm not sure what's going on now. Guess I'll just wait for tomorrow's offering and move on as this download is "as is".

No problems for me with this one. Smooth, quick install. I have only tried one game & it seemed to work OK.- XP-Home Ed.
