Does anyone know how to override the "limited account" setting in XP, if only temporarily? Is it possible to do so without "showing", i.e. it'll still say "limited" in Control Panel?

What if you do not know anyone else's passwords?
Is there something, such as a DOS or Visual Basic script or whatever that can do the trick?Posted 9 months ago # -
What if you do not know anyone else's passwords?
Have you considered asking them? How is this related to GOTD activation problems?

I'm guessing (s)he is on a computer that is owned by someone else and doesn't have the administrator password and wants to do something on the computer (without the owner knowing).
If the PC is password protected - it's probably for a reason. If you don't have the password - that's probably for a reason too.

Most likely, BuBBy, but for another reason, see my post at

Yes, that is another reason. But "GOTD" said they don't know "someone elses" password and want to use the account without it "showing" (perhaps without the owner "knowing" or "in secret"?)
