Ingenious 3 min timer in Vista

For some reason, I am getting a 3 min timer in Vista, and cannot turn it off or change the time. The game ends after the three minute displayed countdown, no matter what stage of the game you are. This does not seem to happen on my XP machine.
Does anyone else experience this (in Vista Premium)? Any ideas on how to disable or add to, the timer? Thanks, Rich

Sounds to me like you didn't install/activate as administrator, and got left with an unregistered copy.

There is a setting in the options to turn the timer off. You have checked there, correct?

Sorry, the setting is in the "Player" menu not the "Options" menu.

That timer's not on by default, so I get the impression this isn't what they're talking about.
