Far Cry full and free except?

    Yes, you read it correctly! You can download a free copy of Far Cry, however, there is a catch, it's ad-supported.

    It might be an engineers release.

    Considering they have download links for the game from around the world... and before I commit to downloading 2.7GB (at 512kbit/sec) can anyone confirm 100% that the comment "and you must live in the U.S. to play the game" is fact/fiction?

    (I'm not moving house just to play a game) ;)

    You need opera or firefox to download it.

    It says internet explorer cannot handle the dl.

    You can't use a dl manager either.

    I live in England and tried to download it using firefox and it started to download.

    I would have thought that changing your browser to U.S. would initiate dl. By default mine is set to U.S.

    Heh, I noticed that just yesterday on ... ew, I think I was on Fileplanet.
    Anyway, that's pretty neat. I didn't get much into Far Cry last time I tried it, though... it was too demanding on my PC, I think... don't remember. Either way, I might play it more in the future when I'm done with other games I have.
