    Hi,
when I tried to activate today's giveaway I just get an error message. Anyone else experiencing similar problems? Something about a module not being able to access GAOTD??
    Any ideas?

Try again - if you get an error, print it here (exactly) along with info on your system. Are you running Vista? If so have you seen the info that relates? - Try setting the program to run as administrator: Here’s what to do

    1. Uninstall the program
    2. Right click on the activation key
    3. Click run as administrator
    4. Right click on set up
    5. Run as administrator

    That should do it.

    Hi,

I´ve got exactly the same problem. There is only the setup-file, nothing else like f.e. any acitvation key and no possibility to register without paying... Something definitely went wrong with this GAOD.

If you see any solution, I´d be glad to hear about it.

I get this with many of the games. No read me files. Just where do you have to look to find them?

  6. There is no problem with activation.

Lets start with downloading the application, (done) then unzipping it, (done) running the .exe file, seeing this is the only file apart from a.txt file giving instructions, (done).

Allowing .exe to communicate with server, (done) install starts (done) application then installs (done).

Close installer, (done) pop up gives username and serial, which is copied and pasted to a text document and checked it's correct before closing, .txt file saved.

    Browser opens, it's closed.

Application is opened then in toolbar under help about information, now open registration box paste in serial and username to their respective boxes (spaces) click o.k., close application reopen it and it's registered.

Should not be any problems really.

  7. You should extract the contents of the zip file into a clean folder. Every giveaway should contain at least a setup program and a readme.txt. Some giveaways will also contain an activate.exe (If you are using Winzip, don't use the "wizard", open the zip file using the "classic" mode to see all of the files).

I installed today's giveaway SWF&FLVP but it won't let me register. It says the giveaway expired Sept. 26th -----today is the 25th. What can I do?

  9. If you use winrar (like I do) decompress it with selecting 'extract to'.

I got this while trying to Activate the SWF & FLV Player:
"The license key was valid till September 26, 2007."
"You can upgrade to PRO here..." etc.

Apparently it is getting the wrong date somewhere, as today is only the 25th..
    Thanks for any help.

Doh.. I hadn't selected the whole registration key.
You have to scroll down in the activation window to get the whole key, if you don't, you will get the above message about the 26th.

I had the same problem. I uninstalled and reinstalled and the second time I noticed the asterix saying Firefox browser should be closed. I closed firefox and this time the registration worked.

Thank you soooo much BuBBy! I use Winzip and was using the wizzard. I switched to classic and there it was. Again, thank you.
