And it works!! BuBBy put me onto this program (along with a free program that I was too thick to follow),in another thread in Software Talks 2 months ago, and now my daughter can listen to any legally downloaded song from Digirama on her MP3 player. It really annoyed me to buy and download tracks especially for the MP3 player, then not be able to listen to them on it, but now, thanks to WMA Convert, we are happy listeners.

Most built in soundcards offer duplex recording which means you can listen and record at thee same time. Use a freeware audio editor like Audacity and record the song and save as wav and then you can put it in any format you want.

If you can't use internal loopback (from wave or mix/what-u-hear), then try externally looping line out to line in, and if they ever stop you recording on the same machine as a DRM file is playing on, then loop line out to line in on ANOTHER system.

It seems that some companies are grudgingly accepting that audio DRM is a busted flush, if not beaten by loop recording or digital virtual soundcards, or by ripping from CD, all it does is turn people away from legal downloads to illegal ones that do not dictate what platform they can be played on.
