   I just downloaded Aimersoft Video Converter and need the registration code that was suppose to be with it. I unzipped the software but can not open the registration code. can someone help me or give me the code? Thank you I thought it was free today?

   You need to run activate.exe from the downloaded file.

   I'm having the same problem, I run the activation and it says that it's activated. But when I open Aimersoft it says that it's not registered.

   I tried installing it on Vista and the registration didn't work. I switched back over to XP Pro (dual boot) and it registered/installed without a hitch using the directions provided. Is it a Vista compatibility issue maybe?

   you need to run activate.exe as administrator, then the message will go away

   Knarr,

   On Vista you have to unzip the activation.exe as well as the setup.exe and then right click on each one and select 'run as administrator'. This was a problem on the last Aimersoft Giveaway too. Apparently Vista requires you to run them as an administrator for the activation to work properly. For the rest of you if your are running Vista this is probably your problem too.
