When I was installing conceptdraw webwave the installation program stopped and prompted me to insert CD to locate the program paperport.msi and the install was looking in a directory named "1"?
So strange, I just hit cancel a couple of times and the installation continued. But I am not sure if the program installed correctly or it will stop suddenly right after the giveaway period had passed. I am running XP SP2 and never had this situation before, anyone seen this or similar problem with conceptdraw webwave GAOTD installation? Any solution? How to check the installation's integrity?

  2. Maybe you have software that came with your printer.

I think mine is called paper port, I have a Brother DCP 117 C.

However didn't ask me what you wrote.

    Is your computer a Dell?

  4. Looks like paperport is related to scanners.

No My computer is not Dell, It is a Sony Vaio

Yes I have a Brother MFC-240C with USB connector (Printer, Fax, Scanner), But i had it disconnected for a couple of days prior to the installation. I am not sure why the conceptdraw webwave installer would request the CD for my printer?

However I found the following directory on my computer:
    My Documents\My PaperPort Documents\Web Pages

So there might be a connection after all even though I am not sure why it would request the printer/scanner installation CD and paperport.msi program!

Anyway so far no problems, thank you all for your help & support

  6. Likely it scanned what printers you had or something, Windows noticed a file was missing, and triggered the installation program for it.
