I am a newbie to GAOTD, having just discovered the site when i was looking for freeware in November. i have religiously visited both pages of the site daily to see what goodies are awaiting exploration. While I appreciate that there are programs for the taking, I'd like to see a shift toward a play-testing for loyal GAOTD followers. Debugging, play-testing, beta-testing, whatever the term to be applied, is an integral part of software development and costs companies a large portion of their budgets. Why not offer free betas (and even alphas and actual releases), to loyalists in exchange for their testing and feedback? I'm not a programmer, though I do know the concepts of programming, and am learning the basics. I am learning the inside of the registry in the hopes of becoming a systems administrator. I enjoy the concept of this site and its sister site, gamegiveaway, and offer feedback when I feel it will be useful. I also rant occasionally when something just doesn't make sense. I offer a pat on the back to the creators and current moderators of GAOTD for their efforts and insightful comments while keeping a cool head. I aspire to know the ins and outs of computing as well as you guys do, as I'd like to be able to offer aid to those who are less knowledgeable than I. Okay. That's it for me for now. Merry Christmas to all who believe, and to those who would feel offended, happy holidays. Thanx

    Hi.

I really enjoy ABBYY Scan to Office and it is very accessible for blind people. It would be a very nice give-away for my blind friends.

@michal199331 - It is very unlikely this would be given away by GOTD as software for windows CE PDAs have not to date featured as giveaways. If it is important, I'd suggest you purchase the software yourself, otherwise you could be waiting for a long time.

Hi Leofelix, as I noted in the other thread - Revo Uninstaller (Free Version) does support Vista x64 (as I know this from firsthand experience.) The program downloaded and installed successfully on my Vista 64-bit PC, and I've been using it very smoothly and effectively for all of my program uninstallations. Hope this helps.

@ HappyPerson: for sure you could install REVO Uninstaller free on Vista 64 bit, but it is likely not to work properly since Windows Registry is a little bit different on 64 bit Operating Systems)

    Have a look here please

    http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html

    Revo Uninstaller Freeware
    Current Version: 1.85
    Setup File Size: 1.06 MB
Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server
    Windows Vista, Windows 7
    32 bit operating systems only

    -------------

    Revo Uninstaller Professional
    Current Version: 2.0.5
    Setup File Size: 9.03 MB
    Windows XP, Windows Server
    Windows Vista, Windows 7
32 and 64 bit operating systems

    Cheers;)

I would also like to have a programming IDE, like Embarcadero's (a couple of years ago Borland's...) Delphi or C++ Builder. They used to bundle some old versions with magazine's CD-DVD editions. Even their 2005 versions would be great!

    Hi,
    what about SandBoxIe?

    http://www.sandboxie.com/

Sandboxie runs your programs in an isolated space which prevents them from making permanent changes to other programs and data in your computer.

    v 3.44
    Changelog:

    - Full support for 64-bit Windows

    - Single installation EXE contains both 32-bit and 64-bit editions of Sandboxie

    - Improved Disable Forced Programs mode

    - Hold Ctrl+Shift while invoking the right-click Run Sandboxed command on a program that is forced, to run the program outside the supervision of Sandboxie

    - When Disable Forced Programs is used to start some forced program X outside the supervision of Sandboxie, then any other forced programs started by that program X will also start outside the supervision of Sandboxie

    - Improved support for User Account Control (UAC) elevation by sandboxed programs

    Thank you

How about a re-run of Folder Marker. I liked to change the color of my folders on my old computer and since I have a new computer I miss not having that program.
