I would like to suggest the game Sherlock Holmes:Nemesis. It seems quite interesting, but the free trail was way too short for the game. I would also suggest aveyond 1 and 2, games that seems really nice after sometime. Your website has great giveaways though there were some giveaways that I missed which I was itching to try out... Oh well. THANKS for the giveaways though.

Could not afford a new computer so got one from a friend with Windows 2000. But it could not utilized an old program I use so another friend replaced my 'dead' computer with another computer utilizing Windows 98SE. THEN another friend hooked up a 'switcher' or whatever it's called so I can do my accounting with the Win98 computer and all my other work on the Win2000.

I use Quicken DOS. Tried all the newer versions and they had too many whistles and bells. So I stuck with my old software.

Anyway, my HP laser printer can not print out reports for me. Found 2 things on Internet that could do this. But one was around $119 and I can not afford it, especially if I'm not certain it would work.

So, I'd like to suggest to GOTD they giveaway DOS2USB or the other program I found that's named something like PRINTFIL. Has something to do with LPT1, COM1, USB or whatever. Sorry, do not understand precisely WHY my printer won't print my reports! ... am oh so confused !

    Thank you.

It's been awhile since a document to PDF converter was offered. The last one put up was "doPDF". That was a streamlined version, which among other things, does not have the capability of enabling hyperlinks. As far as usefullness goes, that capability is a big plus (that developer has a version that does it all).

Hi, I've only been visiting GAOTD for a few days, didn't know about it before. Thanks, I like what I see. How difficult is it for you to get these programs? I ask because there are some specialised programs I would like to suggest. Catalog Xpress; MyThreadBox; etc

I have a question: Have any of these products been offered on the back of recommendations in this thread? I very much doubt it. A more useful question might be: What would people like to see offered AGAIN?

At least then, you'd know up front that the software company were open to the deal, as they'd been through the process before, and the guys here would already have contact information for the relevant person.

My guess is that it's the software companies themselves who contact GOTD, and not the other way around, and many companies mentioned in this thread would laugh if they were approached to offer thousands of free licenses.

Hi, I would like to see Aquarium Desktop 2007 from Stardock. There are also 3 add-on packs available.
    Description:
"Aquarium Desktop 2007 isn't a screen saver, it actually puts virtual fish and plants onto your desktop to swim around while you work!"

    Features:

"Smoothly animated fish swim across your desktop in a life-like manner.
Plants gently move to the current of the virtual water.
Add plants, anchors, debris, and even a treasure chest to your desktop.
Options to configure type and quantity of fish, shadows, sounds, and more!
CPU-smart! Will not use CPU if fish are covered (it won't slow down your system).

    Suggestion for Game Giveaway.

Has the Giveaway team tried approaching BigFishGames for the game giveaway?
Considering the deals they are giving their customers (like the game club, with the jumbo membership, all games are $6.99), they might be willing to put up a few games here.

Hi! I would like to thank GOTD for it's fine work in gathering these free programs and delivering them to us. Also; thanks to those of you that take the time to evaluate them and post so the rest of us know what's going on.

I know I'm going to get killed for requesting a screensaver, but GOTD seems to like them, and we are doing a unit study and we'd like to see the Columbus one from 3Planesoft. I haven't seen it offered before and we think it would be cool to try. Thanks!

This may sound stupid but I would like to see some recipe/cooking software such as for example this one http://www.dvo.com/gcooknengine.html?CID=g_free_Bfree-recipe-software&gclid=CPiLiPfB8JUCFRJ4xgodDFN8ew .Does'nt have to be this one just one that can copy and paste recipes from different sources can calculate nutritional values including carbs and calories and is easy to use or has an easy tutorial. So how about it?
