    It says its missing a dll file and will not work! I have tried installing it a few different times. What do I do to get it to work??

    I am having the same problem as trisha.... and I did try to reinstall directx 9.0c even before I came into this forum... but now directX says it can't download right now and to try again later... which I have been doing... UGH... is this game even worth the energy??

    It's giving me the same message! :(

    It's looking for "d3dx9_27.dll"

    Please don't tell me I have to reinstall DirectX on my computer and on the kid's computers as well! :O

    OK... never mind... I found a place to download the file...

    http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?d3dx9_27

    download it, unzip it and put the DLL file into the same folder as the game executable!

    Then it works!

    Many thanks, garyvdh. I'd tried all the other suggestions in vain, but as soon as I installed the file you linked to, the game worked.
