every place i serch for cheats for Freelancer it says to edit the perfOption.ini in the game directory but i couldn't find it any help thanks

An ini file is just a text file. (You can edit an ini file using notepad or any text editor).
Find 'perfoptions.ini' in the

PS:u know how to get accses to all jump gates and be a Freelancer and not have to do misions for Juni and work for myself

I wonder what the point of playing the game is - if you just want to bypass all of the challenges...
May as well just run install - and go straight to playing the end game sequence.
*yawn*. (do you watch the last chapter in DVD movies first - to prevent any excitement or anxiety while watching "the first bit"?)

If exploration is just what you want to do, there's various other games like this that don't even require you to do this, and allow you to explore some very well down and very fast galaxies, such as VegaStrike.

The only real "cheat" for freelancer is to go to the 'My Games' folder in 'My Documents' and in the Freelancer directory, open the perfOption.ini. In this file find the line reading "DIFFICULTY_SCALE = 1.0" and change it to read "DIFFICULTY_SCALE = 0.0"

Either an "Open Single Player" mod, or a multiplayer LAN game with just you will allow for leveling up w/o doing Jun'ko Zane's missions. To make a LAN game, run the FLserver.exe (it's in the EXE folder of the freelancer directory,) a window should pop up to set the server up. once the server is set up, hit ok and run freelance. the, from the multi player menu, join your server.

where can I get a Open Single Player mod and every time I try to join my server it keeps giving me a error message

http://www.lancersreactor.com/t/TLR_default.aspx is the primary source for freelancer mods (the best open single play mod is http://www.lancersreactor.com/t/Download/Download.asp?ID=141 ). Note that to install a mod for freelancer, fou need Freelancer Mod Manager (FLMM) - http://www.lancersreactor.com/t/download/download.asp?id=927 .

thanks but I been playing the game without useing any cheats or mods and I beat the game and in the end didn't have to do missions for juni
PS:u know how to get a battleship or anything else with mods or something

You should take your Freelancer questions to a Freelancer forum. You will probably get more feedback there. I think that unless GGOTD offers freelancer or it becomes freeware most people really don't care about it.

ok sorry BuBBy but now I need help with my computer so please help anyone i played Freelancer and beat the game so I downloaded some mods but now freelancer keeps crashing everytime I reinstalled the game deleted the mods the saved games but the game still keeps crashing so please help and ignore my post above thanks and sorry man

Sorry Niloy, I don't have Freelancer, I have never played it before, and it has never been offered as a giveaway on GGOTD. As such I'm cannot really help you stop it from crashing. (You could try formatting your PC and reinstalling XP and the service packs - that might fix it).
Seriously though, Firstly try reinstalling the game from your original CD, and install all of the available patches. If Freelancer keeps crashing - I'd suggest you try HERE
If not try asking somewhere like HERE
If you wanted to know everything about fishing - you should sign up at a fishing forum.
The same goes for help playing Counterstrike, World of Warcraft, Battlefield 2 or Windows Solitaire. Next time you go shopping see if the guy working at the newsagency knows - he probably reads a lot.
