http://www.serialdealers.com/ - Check the links, the main sites for software they deal in DO have them as authorized!

    Compared to GOTD, they are:
    1. Cheap but not free (basic member = 5 credits / 5 EU, Gold member = 15 credits / 25 EU) - looks like both can then re-buy credits at the same rate, so the Gold member is just a 10 EU fee to jump the queue.
    2. 1 year licences, where GOTD tend to be "limited lifetime" (install on the day, keep as long as you can).

I see VSO (did Blindwrite here) are also on there, maybe other companies on there would be worth approaching for GOTD.

  2. Didn't visit the site, but a URL like "serialdealers" makes me think Warez.

did a quick look at it, and I'd still prefer to pay the manufacturer/retailer directly for software.

  3. According to their "How it works" page, support from the developer may be restricted, and also the software cannot be used for commercial purposes (personal use only).

They don't state if there are any restrictions on upgrades to future versions. Interesting marketing approach though, "Why risk downloading cracked software which could contain viruses, spyware or could even damage your system when you can get it directly from Serial Dealers?" - at least it's clear who their target market is.

  4. I didn't visit their site but I have one of VSO's products. When it checks for updates and it finds one, your browser opens and you download it straight from them. Depending on the version update, you may have to email them to get another registration number. I had to do this on 2 occasions. The last time, I contacted the support dept. and they said that it was because of serial leaks.

I would make real sure by contacting the actual vendor before purchasing any serial off a site. You could lose alittle money that way. Does that sound right or is it just me?

  5. @ Theleecher- you have to pay for the membership plan. exchange rate not flavourable here for me in euros! and i don't have a credit card also. therefore, prefer this website(GAOTD) instead :) and recomend it to my friends(by word of mouth, blog site etc).

    Ok, the VSO example:
    http://www.vso-software.fr/certification/certification.html
A page hosted on the main VSO site
http://www.vso-software.fr/ - stating that "SerialDealers" are a legitimate reseller.

Come to think of it, wasn't East-Tec eraser also GAOTD'd?

On that basis, maybe Smart-projects (IsoBuster) and Alcohol soft (Alcohol) may be worth approaching, as it would seem all these companies look at novel distribution methods to supplement their main market which seems to consist of those already "in the know".

The serialdealer model has advantages and disadvantages - main downsides compared to GAOTD are that it's not free and the licence is only 1 year.
