Radian Games, maker of sparkly shooters and chill out experiences and the IndieRoyale-famous Super Crossfire, has just announced a brand new collection of games to launch together later in the month in one package called the Ouadtastic Launch Collection.
Three of the four games that make up the collection are already on the Xbox Live Indie Game marketplace, but this will be the first time they are made available on PC and Mac (and DRM-free too) and there have been some changes made to each one according to the developer. Slydris is the completely new game and it looks entirely different to anything else that Radian has produced.
Inferno+ is an atmospheric action-RPG with 40 levels of exploration, blasting, and upgrading.
Ballistic is a mesmerizing, refined, and intense dual-stick arcade shooter.
An elegant and unique puzzle game, Slydris feels fresh and familiar at the same time.
Fireball (our favorite) has you dodgeing, triggering, and destroying hordes of enemies across 3 modes and 11 leaderboards.
Each game will be detailed by the developer in forthcoming blog posts and gameplay videos, available on the official website.
History tells us that the majority of games that see a transfer from XBLIG to PC do much better in sales and sometimes even get a huge following for the developer. After the success of releasing Super Crossfire on to PC for the first time, it seems like the right move for Radian Games to expand on to the platform after shining on XBLIG for so long.
“This is the first time I’ve been in (almost) complete control of the launch of my games, and I went a little crazy and I’m doing 4 at once, so to say I’m a bit anxious would be an understatement,” says Radian Games’ sole member Luke Schneider.
The Quadtastic Launch Collection will be made available on January 24th for the price of $11.99, if you pre-order now though you can get the games at the discounted price of $9.99. You will also be able to get a bonus tech demo immediately called Fun With Swarms. The Quadtastic Launch Collection will not be available after February 1st.
It doesn’t stop there though! There are two further bundle deals available to pre-order right now which will launch on the same date. The Super Radian Games Collection includes the Quadtastic Launch Collection and Super Crossfire which is available now, this costs $12.99 to pre-order and $14.99 at launch. The I Love Radian Games Collection includes all of that and immediate access to the Inferno+ Beta and MP3 soundtracks for all of the games, which you can also get right now, this selection is available for $19.99 only. Both of these collections will be available after February 1st.
All of the games will included in this madness will be on sale individually on February 1st ($6.99 for Inferno+, $4.99 for all others).
In the spirit of past indie game bundles, Radian Games will donate variable percentages of revenue to Child’s Play and St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital – the more collections are sold the higher this percentage goes.
