    Hi all,
I downloaded the rerun of Aimersoft DVD Ripper today, and activated it. However, the Purchase and Register buttons are still there on the help menu, and clicking Register shows an empty registration form prompting for email and registration code. There is no confirmation that the program has been registered. However there is a link on the main window: "Special offer: Full technical support and future upgrades for only $19", so I assume it has activated correctly.

Can anyone confirm that the software is activated?

Don´t you see the text: "DVD Ripper has been registered" in the Register-Window?

Aha. Thanks, I wasn't expecting to find that there, I was looking for a sign of registration on the About box.

  4. Admittedly - the about box was also the first place I went to check also. The Register window was the second.

  6. Was the old version installed on your XP computer beforehand? Did you uninstall the old version first? (I'm running it fine on XP sp2).

  10. Just copying from one of the comments...

For those of you that are still trying to get this thing to register.

    Here’s what to do

    1. Uninstall the program
    2. Right click on the activation key
    3. Click run as administrator
    4. Right click on set up
    5. Run as administrator

    That should do it.

    that worked thanks

  12. I'm on Xp Media Center and had no problem at all. Btw if anyone is wondering whether they should uninstall the previous copy first, I did. It might not even matter because the program would probably overwrite itself (maybe?), but I recommend uninstalling the previous copy (the one that wouldn't register) just to prevent you from any possible hassles or aggravations.

Thank you so much GiveAwayOfTheDay for the rerun of Aimersoft DVD Ripper! I know the registration issue was just as unexpected for you as it was for all of your visitors and/or members. I would also like to thank you for working on it so fast. :-)

    Registration works in Vista Ultimate.

Thanks BuBBy. The method that you gave worked perfectly on my installation of Vista Ultimate. I use a windows explorer relacement Opus, which I really like. The "run as administrator" only seems to work for me in windows explorer, not in Opus.

    Thanks for the great method.

    What do you know,

After trying to activate Aimersoft's ripper for 30 mins and getting a "can't connect to GAOTD, try later" I finally got it to connect. I had to reboot the computer, which in itself is weird, but it worked. I noticed that the GAOTD pages take a long time to open. The traffic here is not increasing a lot. Pagerank gives it a 6/10 and Alexa gives it a 3,069. Check Statsaholic.com and look at the number of hits in the last month. It is kind of stable.

I installed the DVD Ripper and it seems fine. I am guessing that it is working well because when it was an unregistered version it would let you know right away. Other than that, I can't find any way to check if the program is really registered.

Another weird thing that is happening today is that after every comment in the GAOTD I see a message that says

Warning: mysql_query() [function.mysql-query]: Unable to save result set in /home/newadmin2/data/www/newbeta2.freedownloadscenter.com/wp-content/plugins/ck-karma/ck-karma.php on line 48

This message appears only on the GAOTD comments, not in the GGOTD or in the forums.

    Anybody has seen this?

Anyway, I'm going to test the ripper now and be sure that Ill test it again tomorrow.

    @pauloparra:

On the help menu click Register. If the product is successfully registered, then in bold writing at the top of the window it should say "DVD Ripper has been registered".

    Dear BuBBy.
It forgives, I did not understand how to know; a) the way to activate, b) way to register therefore asks for "Registration Code" in "Help/Register". I saw screenshot empty in the reply to member "whitetrashgirl" this correct one to be empty box in the register ?

I looked at this RSS feed will be topic, but I have doubt. I go to wait other messages in the forum. I thank its attention.

  18. a) To activate - run the program "activate.exe" which is contained inside the downloaded archive file

    b) You don't have to register separately or provide a code of any sort.

This screenshot shows what a registered program looks like. See Here.

  20. dhernandez,

Not sure if this will help you or not, but this was posted by BuBBy some replies ago: (assuming you didn't already read it and try it. If you did, I'm not sure what else will help you):
