Actually when I got the free code for the original fate when that was given away the same way that code was disabled a week later much like this one will be.I reformatted a month later and that code no longer worked when I tried it again.Since this is not considered a purchase I'm pretty sure Michelle is right on this one.

Actually as long as you download and activate it during the giveaway period you can reactivate it later. I asked kinda the same question and this is the response I got from Wild Tangent themeselves.

When you purchase a WildTangent unlock code, you are automatically granted access to install the game on up to four PCs within your control over the lifetime of the game. (We keep this policy to prevent piracy of our games.)

Michelle, as far as I understand the system of WildTangent, this installer app will make sure, that you can play and re-install when ever you want. As long as you register it this week.
WildTangent is a reputable developer.

As I don't like all the DRM stuff and game apps or what ever the game houses invent, and as the game is not very important to me, I didn't dig too deep for their conditions.
But when you like such games, you should read the terms and conditions carefully.

I didn't install it either. I think you can only install it and register it on the days it is given away. It is not like they are giving you a game to keep forever. If you have to activate it again I think you won't be able to.

When installing the game I changed my mind and interrupted the process.
The WildTangentApp installed itself nevertheless.
After uninstalling it, Revo found 879 registry items like these:

and 463 items in Program Files.

Such stunts are a deal-breaker for me, even for a game given as a present.

Ccleaner found 214 IE temp files + 5 files in the registry
I never use IE but WildTangent opened it and left a lot of garbage there.

After all that "Everything" found several leftovers in program files and program data and start-menu...oh, I didn't count the cookies - and all that only for the installer app!

That was dungeon crawling enough for me. I don't need the game anymore.

Just to let people know - a few people will not be able to play this game because of the requirement for 3D Graphics hardware. (If you don't have this, you probably already know due to the inability to play other 3D games).

Most recent computers are quite capable of running this.
