For what it's worth ... I had similar "white screen". I was able to guess & change the sound. After several attempts I gave up. My XP/SP2 exceedes the requirements. Sorry I'm of no more help.
Brace yourself for the uninstall ... Not an easy task. Look for "White Rabbit AKA Stephen" in the game comments, for help ridding yourself of this game. Good Luck !

I have reinstalled 3 times and it is opening up with a white screen and nothing else
I dowloaded from the site 3 times and repeated the steps and it doesn't work.
