Hi,
Like I wrote, Mario , it might of been a coincidence that my computer's desktop went totally wacky when I shut Alian Shooters down, fortunatly no permanent damage done to my system (XP SP2 Home Edition) easily fixed, and no problems of any kind since. I realy have no clue why it went like that, I did just about every scan known to mankind, to find out. It must of been some kind of "inner space" silicon conflict, and a Gremlin or two taking a ride on my hard drive, were there any of those critters in the game, by any chance? LOL I did not get far enough into the game to find out.
Anyway, thanks for your concern.
Good evening,
Barry

Hi Barry,

Wow, that must have been a pretty scary experience.

Do you run XP pro? I run alien shooters and Theseus on my PC, on a virtual machine (it doesn't work well there, as support for DirectX is still in beta), and on my mojopac, where they both work great and have not had such a horrible experience as yours.

I am truly sorry to hear that mate, as I really like the programs and it would suck if running them meant that I had to risk a complete wipe out of my system.

I hope there was something I could say, but at least it looks like you got out of it unscathed. I always count my blessings.

Cheers,

-Mario

Hi pauloparra,
This is not really related to your problem, I can not be a 100% certain that Alian Shooters caused this problem for me or not, but this is what happened to me. The game downlowded , installed, and played just fine, untill I shut the program down, the game screen disappeared, but the tag for the game on the task bar did not, meanwhile the Desktop was trying to refresh itself, but the icons were blinking randomly, very stange I thought. So I right clicked on the Tag for Alian Shooters and went to close it and right before my eyes, 3 icons moved to a new spot, one icon disappeared, and then to top it all off, the Control Panel icon renamed itself, changing the name to about 15 low case c, then it moved from the bottom of the Desktop to the top, all in a blink of an eye. Then the computer locked up.
After a reboot I checked each file I could find associated to Alian Shooter, nothing seemed amiss, there was no errors in the Event Logs, I then ran a few Malware checks, found nothing. I checked the forums and comment section, no one has reported a problem like this.
Anyway, after deleating the game, I have not had a problem since, "touch wood". I have never seen anything like this before, and I hope I never see anything like this again, to say the least I got the, "OH OH What Have I Done Now!" thing happening in my head, when the Desktop went out of control.
Have a good one,
Barry

I have been playing alien shooters and todays game and in the log directory where the games are installed there are eror logs. A lot of them are about missing sounds or missing other things.

I have found that the missing sounds for alien shooter are in theseus and the ones missing in theseus are in alien shooter, at least at first glance (its too late and Im going to bed). I copied some of the wav files and the errors are gone! I don't know if this is good or bad, but it seems to me like an oversight from the developers.

Also Theseus sometimes seems to suffer from a small mouse claibration in the menus. Anybody seen this?

Im crashing, ciao.
