I don't understand the reg info from GAOTD. You mean I can uninstall Romeo using windows uninstaller and install this copy you gave me? Won't that break the license?

I really appreciate your help.

Have you installed any other software lately that might have it's own CD or DVD drivers (MP3 ripping software, or other burning software). Sometimes new drivers conflict with old programs.

Just last week I had a friend with a similar problem with a misbehaving installation of Nero no longer recognising MP3 files. An uninstall and reinstall didn't fix it. I suggested he use the "Nero Clean Tool" which fixed his problem.

It's possible that by installing another application, it is stepping on the toes of Romeo or an uninstall has removed a shared component or setting that Romeo needs.

Considering that your RomeoBurner is now broken (it's not about to get any worse). If you still have the registration info that came with the giveaway download - you could uninstall your copy of romeo and get another from http://www.romeoburner.com/romeoburner-1_0.html

Then try another install. (Or purchase a license and get some support from the developers).

I hope this helps.

I have been Romeo for burning, copying, grabing images, etc... Now it just hungs up, 'writes' DVD's in 30 secs (the content is crap) and sometimes it freezes my OS and have shutdown the computer manually.

Is anybody still usng it? Any ideas why it might break just like that? What should I be looking for?
