I'll have to join with you folks on this game. It froze my computer also and I had to do a cold boot to get back into the real world. This one still needs some work. I've d/l many games and only a couple have performed this badly.

Thanks for that,I'm not the only one it's happening too.It did that to me also with the music playing and everything flashing about in the background. I'll just uninstall it and hope it comes back another time working!. Thanks to all.

The Brave Dwarves 2 Deluxe version that I _ purchased _ works with Track-Ball, regular mouse, game pad et al. That version is great fun .. same number of levels, same challenges .. apparently the same game but with better controls.

Truly a shame about the version GameOver Games offered today. Their game sales would probably have increased 5X had they not skimped on the offering today.

I'd like to go back and edit my remark on the Comments page to include an apology to GGAOTD subscribers. Unfortunately, game faults are supposed to be listed in Forums, not Comments.

I too cannot get beyond the opening screen, and my machine specs exceed those required for the game.
I do see the taskbar icons flashing randomly as the game sits there being useless, but I have found that Ctrl+Alt+Del does sometimes work to allow the game to be closed without a complete reboot. Of the many applications and games I have downloaded, this is the first that I have had a real problem with (other than slow opening AVS applications) and as I cannot figure out a way to get it running properly then it will be uninstalled. I shall wait until the download period is over in case anyone does come up with a solution.
Sorry I can't offer you a solution, but if it helps any, you are not alone (or is that paranoia?)

redownloading will make no difference - the fact you can extract the setup program without errors indicates the download is 100% ok. (If it was corrupt or incomplete you would get errors trying to extract the files).

As I can't get the game to run satisfactorily either, I am not really in a position to offer advice about the game freezing.

Yes I downloaded this also and once you click on open and the press any key to start it just plays music and freezes up the computor and I have to keep on restarting and it does the same thing over again. Is this fixable? It takes an hour to download so I don't want to have to try redownloading if I can help it. Thanks.

I tried it and keyboard controls are terrible. Stopping and starting, responding after a delay, ignoring keypresses.

I actually felt like I was playing against a timer where unless I pressed a key exactly on "the second" the keypress was ignored.

On my PC at least, the gameplay was anything but smooth or fluid.

This version is a bit different than the one offered by Real Arcade ... I don't suppose this can be adjusted to operate via Track-Ball instead of keyboard?
