I hope all your independence celebrations were fantastic. I'd loved to have seen the fireworks displays. :) Only another 66 years to the quincentenary celebrations. :)

Dragon.. strange.. our 2 outside kitties didn't seem at all bothered when someone was setting off some sparklers last night. What worries me is a fire starting.. where we live there's only one way out and the water tanker trucks can barely get up the hill!

Copmom, my cat isn't much better with it. I don't mind the professional fireworks but I don't like those in the homes. They keep it up too late (according to local ordinance) and people find pop-bottle rocket sticks on their roofs the next day. Someday, they're going to start a major fire with their carelessness!

Also, they're dangerous. My brother still has gunpowder in his eye from an exploding roman candle when we were kids (and the dangers weren't advertised as much). That was the last year I ever had fireworks (I was nine at the time).

I wish y'all the same thing. My dog really freaks out from loud noises like fireworks and thunder.. poor thing!
