I have not been able to get a program from the site for a month or better.When I download it and click on the exe it pops up a small window and says it is activating......then in a few minutes it says can not connect try later....I have your ticker on my website for a few years and I have been using the site for a couple years ...I dont see this happening to others ....Am I being blocked????? thanks Pat .....could you please get back to me

that was it,, I started to uninstall my IE, but chose
to disable it instead. This was a week or two ago,,
since then there has been two software programs offered that
I actually downloaded, the first one was not able to get
activated, but it was no big deal. Today's give away was
one that I really wanted to try. (Wondershare demo creator)
I decided I had to get the problem fixed.
Thanks for your help, I knew it had to be something simple,
I'm just not savvy enough to know where to look.

Please check if your IE is online, even when you don't use it as your browser. The GOTD activation process needs IE.

Win 7 home addition, firefox browser, Avast antivirus, I turned my firewall off to see if it helped,it didn't , and I turned it back on. I have downloaded GOTD software on this system before,, the last two times I have tried it, I get the message shown above.
I did try and run as administrator also.

I went to the GOTD instruction manual and saw nothing in there that I was not already doing. If some one would like to call and help out, I can call you right back and save any long distance charges to you. ---deleted---

Please tell us some more... such as what OS/browser you 're using and which security software you're running.

lately, when I have downloaded software from GOTD, when I open teh register file,
it tries to connect with GOTD and I get a message; "Failed to connect, please try again later" I am running win 7 home addition. I do not have any internet connection problems that I am aware of, all my bookmarks for regular visited forums work fine. There must be a setting somewhere where I can fix this. Seldom do I see software on GOTD that interest me. But lately there have been two that I wanted to use but cannot get the registration process completed. Any suggestions?
