In all fairness to realnetworks. You can use their chat regardless of being in any club. I am keeping it for games that are not on gamehouse, but I think realnetworks give you much more for free. I got a ton of free games off gamepass trial. They allowed you to cancel and renew in like 90 days after you cancel and get another free game each 90 days after you cancel. In my opinion Realnetworks are still #1 and if you are looking for something free gamehouse is where to go not Bigfishgames.

I have a few like that; the Syberia ones were like that, especially.
No, no free games but the reduced price options.
I still think that everyone should have the option of getting the daily deal as they did last summer.

How nice to have the support...good for you!
:)

It can be, I have the Sims 2 and all expansions. I don't like waiting for games to load. That one seems like it takes forever.

Bigfishgames Gameclub trial- You get everything but the credit. I spoke to someone yesterday in chat. You get no games for free. On Gamepass you did and you got to keep them. I had several trials. I got several free games through gamepass.

Early last year I received a free coupon for one game free from bigfishgames because I e-mailed them about switching. Lol my father says well now I can cancel gamepass monthly. No way, I told him you get two games with that. He pays for gamepass monthly and my brother will be paying for Bigfishgames.

Michelle, I never tried the Sims; I think I might one day, as the first one would be ok on my computer.
Amazon had a package that was quite reasonable.

I have a silly little game called Virtual Families which is a MUCH lesser version of the sims but the same idea of managing a "family"
It is rather sweet and funny but one wouldn't want to play it for longer than a half an hour at a time (but I heard the Sims could be VERY addictive, in comparison..lol!)

WR,
you certainly cannot be faulted for buying so many games when you found that they helped you in your pain management; it is wonderful that they help(ed!)
Yes I guess one becomes more selective over time; I too used to scarf up every game going if it was a HOG or adventure but have found that MANY are simply not worth the time.
I did enjoy the Ravenhearst series(albeit with my hair standing on end half the time..lol!)
But YES The Longest Journey was wonderful (I still play it sometimes) but I haven't yet played Dreamfall as I think my computer is lacking the system requirements.
Syberia and Syberia 2 remain MY favs.
I have never tried Myst but HEARD that it was similar to the less superior 2 Azada games(have you played those? )
The first one was very challeging as it was on a strigent timer but the second had the option of playing without (the timer) and THAT is an option I wish ALL game developers would offer.
:)

Wow 1000 games, I don't have near that many. I use to play the Sims and Sims 2 till that got boring and I found out in order for the Sims 3 to play I need to upgrade my graphics card. In order to do that I would also have to upgrade my power supply and for one game it just isn't worth it.

I like casual games because they don't require the system requirements that some games do in order to play them.

That's true Alianthia. My problem though is that I went mad buying arcade games shortly after my accidnet in 2005. I purchased more than I care to remember ([i]well over a thousand and that's no exaggeration), I feel rather disgusted with myself now looking back as most were only played once. the money would have been better spend donting to a charity.. When I discovered that playing games helped to distract me from the pain I was buying up to three a day when the fancy took me. Most of those I never play any more. But doing that sort of put me off buying many arcade games unless they were something special, which I find most Indie games fulfill; wheras the (what I consider) run of the mill games sold by game houses like Gamehouse, Alawar, Reflexive and Big Fish just don't give me much satisfaction any more.

I now tend to not bother with arcade games unless they are really well made (for example Nation Red or Trine) and/or are an original idea that's been well though out (for example Eufloria or Multiwinia). Maybe I'm just being too fussy now. I still buy a couple of arcade genres when they are released, but I rarely see new ones any more (Space Arena shooters and Arkanoids). I still like point and click adventure games, but apart from a few titles like Dreamfall and its sequel The Longest Journey nothing beats the Myst series for adventure and gorgeous graphics.

Hey welcome to the club, Michellle!
I think Bigfish has a great selection and 6.99 is not too bad a rate.
I have gotten quite a few 2.99 games that way.
WR, I love that they have been featuring HOGs and adventure games..but that could change!
Actually I am a bit behind, have still to finish a couple that I got from bigfish when they had their "best of the year" sale.

Paradise Pet Salon is a very cute game. My computer is an HP and they advertise HP game console and one of the games on there is Paradise Pet Salon and I been wanting that game ever since I got the computer and Carrie the Caregiver I played some time ago I think, but I always wanted it.

I actually bought a game from someone else besides Realnetworks. I got many free games from Bigfish too. So that is 3 games a month. Two from gamehouse and one from bigfish.

I would tell you to join gamehouse, but they don't have as many games as bigfish does.

Nice to hear Michelle. You can't beat a £2.99 game every day with no advertising. I cancelled my Big Fish subscription though because they seem only to get hidden object games now (well a slight exaggeration, they do get other games, but most do seem to be HOG's). I lik HOG's but they got too frequent. I've still got some credits from last year. Unfortunately there's not been any decent arcade games put up (that I like)at BFG for ages apart from Zombie Bowl o Rama. I wish they would stock all the indie games like Osmos, Eets,I-Fluid, Trials 2: Second Edition, Gravitron 2, Switchball, Zombie Shooter 2, Trine, Quantz, Nation Red, Eufloria and a lot more besides. If they did I'd be subscribing again.

Glad to hear you've got the games you've been wanting for a while. :)

I couldn't resist those $2.99 coupons from playfirst and I noticed right off that you get no free credit. 2 games for $2.99. I got Carrie the Caregiver and Paradise Pet Salon (both I had wanted for a long time). (They don't have either of those on gamehouse). Actually my brother is paying for it. He said I could keep it.

I told him it is $6.99 every month. They do have more games than on gamehouse. It took them some time after I bought the game to put it in my account and let me unlock the game. I thought I only got one. My brother told me there were two $2.99 charges on his account. I thought the one was an authorization charge, but I looked in my account after he got off the computer and both games I wanted were there.
