Yes, you must always download, install, and activate the program within the allotted 24-hour timeframe. As "hotdoge3" rightly pointed out, all guidance is in the "readme" text.

If it is from giveaway of the day it is too late now to register, All programs must be downloaded and registered within the 24 hour time frame on giveawayoftheday. If you mess up there is nothing really you can do except wait for it to come up again or buy the program if you can't wait.

I downloaded the pdfzilla on 1/3/10 but didn't have time to register it that night. Now I am unable to find the code. Does anyone have the code that I need to register?
