Hey, rO, I love these bridge games. Very nice find. :) Thank you very much. I'd love to see a modern update of this type of game, with realistic looking bridges and scenery to go with it. With the game engines around now (for example the one used for Red Faction Guerrilla would be perfect with the realistic destruction physics). This type of game could look awesome.

I bought a bridge construction set from Garage Games several months ago thats not much better than this one. There's also another version in the games synopsis, but I've forgotten the name of it.

I've just had a bit of a disaster - my main computer has just stopped working - I've narrowed the problem down to the power supply (which was replaced only several weeks ago - but as it was only a spare, I was never happy about it's power rating).

A bit of an inconvinience as all the games I had planned for next week are on that computer. No worries I'll have to find some other games for now. :)

Bridging the Gap is a fun, freeware bridge building game created in Game Maker. You have to build a bridge able to support having a train cross it. The game is suppose to have 50 levels.

In this unique game you have to build a bridge to safely get a train from left to right within a limited budget.

Levels start off small, but gradually, levels get bigger and bigger and trains get longer, faster and heavier.

Don't waste your money, because all the cash you left is added to your score. Can you bridge the gap?

Place your Joints on the wire frame background where you want the members /(girders) to join. To build your bridge, add as many joints as you like since they are free.

The girders cost money, if you make a mistake, you can use the rubber to remove the section. Start your train in motion to see if your bridge looks stable, if not halt the train and make some changes.

This game is a lot of fun to play.
