You must save the faeries from their enemies the Ixies in this game, which scores 4 stars from 7 reviews on Amazon. The consensus there seems to be that it is not a fascinating or complex game, but is fun and quite beautiful. Shift keys are supposed to be "fire" keys, so I press them, with no result. Have tried a bunch of other keys also, and all I've accomplished is to turn on the Windows "sticky keys" option (no problem; I turned it back off). I've checked all the help from InterAction Studios website for this game, and there is nothing about this problem. ESC+Y doesn't work to quit, either. I have to use the Task Manager and kill the process. Which gets me the error message: "Function UveDX:: frame() failed with error: 'Cannot restore all surfaces', error code -2005532085 (This surface cannot be restored because it was created in a different mode.)" Win XP SP2, all other games working fine. No other keyboard-controlled games, tho, and my keyboard is "original issue" (old IBM from 1992, with no Windows key)... Any thoughts, anyone? No rush; I'm just curious. (I'd have gotten the other game from Amazon, but I really hate how they do games.)
