Hi Happy Person,

I've only just seen your comment and would like to add that there are always those that like to knock those that are appreciated. Something to do with the green eyed monster 'me thinks'. Unfortunately you'll see it all to often when someone has made an excellent contribution, so please ignore it. you should actually take it as a complement that they chose your contribution because it was good.

Thanks for all you do over on the giveaway comments section. It's much appreciated by many including myself

WR

Hi BuBBy, nice to see you back. :).

I've been occupied elsewhere over the past week - and this caught my eye. I went to have a look at the actual comment and it was posted from an IP address in China and it appears this was an attempt by one of Extras competitors to plug their own product in someone elses giveaway.

Usually comments like this get trashed as the "Alternative Freeware suggestions" sometimes become "Alternative Commercial Advertisements". The companies that are the worst at this are the converter software companies who operate out of China, who appear to be resellers of the various programs they peddle. Spamming our comment section with fake user comments seems to be their primary sales tactic.

Taking an existing user comment and pasting their website URL at the end seems to be the best they can manage for a review of a competitors product.

Hi all, I hope this day finds everyone well, happy, and in excellent health.

Given that it takes several hours for the weekend GOTD moderators to post our GiveAway download comments on the GOTD site, I wanted to address this important issue in the forums section, given that this matter truly does apply to all GOTD community members - for what happened to me yesterday, could happen to others in the future.

Yesterday, sadly and regrettably, a GOTD community member (Agnesofhtekc)plagiarized my GiveAway review comments. Why? I don't know, but it happened.

Thankfully, another kind/gracious GOTD community member (Madalpal) recognized this plagiarism and posted a comment to Agnesofhtekc, to forthrightly and clearly address this issue.

To answer your question, Madalpal, I would never ever post the same comments twice, using two, different assumed names, for this would be unethical, dishonest, and completely contrary to my values and belief system as an honest human being.

My genuine, heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Madalpal for bringing this matter to everyone's attention. I am very grateful for Madalpal's honesty, integrity, and willingness to stick up for (and defend me) in this very admirable, ethical manner.

Your praiseworthy actions, Madalpal, reinforce my belief and confidence in the inherent goodness of my fellow human beings.

GOTD moderators, I hope you keep this thread open continuously, as it is important for (and impacts) all members of the GOTD community/family.

With my best wishes to all,
A very happy, Happy Person
