I found trouble also. This will only burn files ripped from other CD's. Would not convert my large catalog of MP3's. When I uninstalled the program, the developer had a screen to ask why you didn't want it, so I told them. They were nice enough to respond by email and confirm that the program only burns files of a certain format. My thumbs up is now a big thumbs down.

Hmmmm, can't sleep.

'When U Save' sure package their adware differently in 2007. If I uninstall it the audio program will not run. So I blocked it from internet access,..same result. Removed the registry entries,..same thing again. Profiling, activity tracing adware rattles my mojo, so SoftwareDepo can keep their freebies.

Apologies for suggesting that anyone try their CD Ripper.

rspdad,

I hate computers. Other members may give you better info., but that exception looks like the program does not recognize your optical drive, so it can not set an auto burn speed. Therefore it throws out a failure message.

First, check this link to see if your cd burner is compatible with the software. http://www.abyssmedia.com/cdburner/drives.shtml

If you don't see it there, post the exception and your cd type/model on the Abysmedia forum.

Meantime, try the freeware burner above (I returned to edit the link into my post as you were posting, so you may have missed it) - You may even prefer it to the GAOTD download.

Good luck.

Now me sleeps...zzzz zzzzzz zzzzzz "Thank God for Nero and Cyberlink" zzzz zzzzzz zzzzz....

The program lacks a manual cd burn test speed. I also got the following message each time I opened the program:
["StartBurner_GrabberSetSpeeds() failed, exception 8, status 0, text "StartBurn ScsiTransportSPT1:Executed CDB:Command failed:"]

I didn't download this program, but it sounds like they are asking about burn speed. Burning software needs to know at what speed tracks can be recorded to a cd or dvd. Does the program have a manual cd burn speed test? If so, you may need to run a test, initially, prior to dragging files to the window for burning.

If that does not fix the problem, try their forum. It may prompt them to solve your query faster (publicly) than via e-mail (privately).
http://www.abyssmedia.com/forum/

If all else fails, try this free burner.

Am still having problems with Audio CD Burner when I drag a track to the appropriate window:

"Acces violationat adress 004F5694 in module 'Audiocdburner.exe'. Read of address 00000000."

I sent an earlier email and got this reply:

Did you get any error messages before? on startup? Its looks like engine not initialized because
Recording Speed list is empty.

I don’t know what this means, but I am able to burn CDs with other programs with no problem. I tried to register this product, but since in was a download from giveawayofthe day, I hadn’t a serial number to enter into the registration form. Is failure to register a root cause of the problem? What else will fix the problem?

I am still stuc. Can you help?
