I don't think the problem is the OS at all. It's the game. I am of the opinion that the game was very poorly beta tested with the problem being that common.

Kenchin_20, lower the resolution of the display. It may look a bit "grainey" but it will work better. I never did get it to work really well but I did get the sound/display to sync up!

any1 help me, I downloaded and i can play the tales of monkey island but its too slow in my PC.. what can i do?? i have Dual-core CPU E5300 @ 2.60GHZ 1GB ram in Windows XP SP2...

lol, no problems Terri. Actually the post you're talking about is a different version to the Steam version and is free only for today (Saturday). Here's the link:
