thanks!! I just assumed Vista Premium would come with its own unzip utility. I was able to DL and play Keywords using Justzipit ... now maybe I won't have anymore problems. thanks again. my son (whose room this particular computer is in) also thanks you!

It sounds like your computer is associating the zip file with Adobe reader. Usually if you install winzip, winrar, or some other unpacking utility, it'll associate itself with the zipped file.

Another option... you may already have some kinda unpacking utility. Right click on the file when it's on your desktop... you may have an option there that is "open with". Select your unpacking utility and you should be good to go.

You can also select "properties" from that list instead of "opens with". And in the GENERAL tab, "opens with", Click the "change" button. Select a utility or just select "compressed (zipped) folders".

The next time you open the program it should open a folder with the files in it. You will prolly have to extract them somewhere to run. This works for XP... I don't believe Vista is all that different. But this may get you started in the right direction anyway.

If you don't have decompression software. The one above that Lee posted is good, and Winzip also works well. Their trial versions work fine. And there are free ones out there too. Just google.

have not been able to set up and use any games on our new Vista Home Premium.... simply won't unzip. Vista wants to open the folder with Adobe Reader and never even lets me open the file. One time I did get it open, activated and set up and the game wouldn't even play. - just got a blank screen after I hit play. anyone have a solution?
