Hi Wizz, thanks for today's game. My son loves maze games so he will probably like this one.

As always I hope your studies are going well, and that working and studying isn’t too exhausting .

Tell Carolina I'm sorry for dropping out of the Left 4 dead game so suddenly last night. I was exhausted after a couple of really busy days. I had to see one of my defense team (re the compensation claim) on Tuesday and yesterday was my hydrotherapy session, which always takes it out of me.

I presume she told you about my opinion of Darkest of Days? in a nutshell I'd advise leaving it until Steam offer it up as a deal. The demo should keep you satiated until they do, which i reckon will be several weeks from now. The game is getting a mixed reception on the review sites which I reckon will dampen sales a bit, so a deal is probably a good bet fairly soon - then reckon it will definitely be worth buying. I'll fill you in on my opinions when you get some time to chat. i know you're really busy right now. :( Don't get me wrong It's a good game, but I'm not as impressed as I was hoping I'd be. The battles are certainly something refreshingly different from your normal FPS game where you only ever got perhaps four or five enemy shooting at you. In Darkest of Days, with the new games engine there are at lease a hundred NPC’s on the field at any one time. It looks really impressive when you make a charge for the German lines during WWI. There are however some deficits. I was expecting better character models and the AI isn't as good as I was expecting. They aren’t much better than say for example Call of Duty 2, which is now four years old. (Though when you have 30 or so confederate soldiers running at you, you don’t really get the time to look at the details, lol). The concept of the game is novel and I have enjoyed playing it so far. I'm going to give it another go later today after I’ve had my cat nap and tried Street fighter IV, which I’ve finally got to work (it kept crashing when I first installed it over the weekend), lol

Today's game is a fun little puzzle/maze game titled Abashera Revamped.Hopefully our puzzle fans will enjoy this one as this requires straight up brain power and nothing else.

Abashera revamped is an addictive 3D first person IQ adventure maze game with over 50 mazes of varying dificulty which can be played in any order. At the beginning of each level the secondary goals are specified, but the final goal is to exit the maze by going into the spinning sun. You must remember that ALL goals must be met before you can complete the puzzle.

There are no guns, no weapons, no tedious bosses. You must rely on your intelligence to survive. Theres no linear plot, you choose from session to session which mazes you shall explore. The missions vary: Kill all beasts, kill no beasts, find the Holy Grail or find the Ark of the Covenant, pick a certain number of diamonds, mushrooms, flowers, strawgoats or eggs, etc. The mazes are populated with a number of more or less smart critters such as: Commie Dogs and Capitalist Dogs, The One Who Sees, Blocker Frogs, Monobites, the deadly The One Who Hears and many more. You will have to be a real Theseus, study the monster`s behaviour in order to outsmart them and survive.
The in-game music is popcornish electro pop MP3 music. Four full length tracks are included, one with lyrics.

Controls:

If you want to exercise your grey matter and you`re tired of 3d shooters but like the 3d graphics, this is THE game for you.
