Yes everyone is in this boat. It seems that AWC made the registration only for the current version (and signature files) - Which is what many of the giveaways have done.

Where AWC pro is different is once the license file is out of date, the program stops running.

So we have a license key that cannot be upgraded - and a product that will not run without a current license key - creating a catch 22 situation.

As it was though - I removed the software from my system before it "expired", as I had already decided to pass on AWC, and use other tools instead.

Brian
The terms of GOTD offers are clearly stated on the main page and throughout and do not change.
The purpose of this free giveaway today is a promotion for the software company. This is how the site can operate. Some softwares are more of a "free" deal than others. You were able to use the Pro version and compare the features to the basic version. You can continue to use the pro version, or components of it, but no upgrades are available without purchase. Now it is up to you to decide if the pro version is enough better than the basic to warrant a purchase for the sake of upgrades, or to accept it and use it as it is. At this point, you have lost nothing, but maybe time.

I have used Advanced Windows Care basic for many months and it gets rid of oodles of dross. When Giveaway offered the Pro version for free I was chuffed and downloaded and installed it. Only a WEEK later I am now being told that I need to purchase it to obtain the latest uploads. I didn't even have to pay to upload the updates on the basic version.

Anyone out there any idea what is going on. Hardly a GENUINE giveaway if it costs...what... or am I being cynical?? The makers of the sioftware wash their hands and refuse to answer as to why saying it's part of the "deal" with Giveaway!!!!!
