Thanks, BuBBy, I'll hurry up to catch that mammoth - oh, wait you wrote "mamutu". Not bad either. I had it on an old computer and remember that I had a lot to learn; that can be a major task but not as heavy as a mammoth...sorry.

@ Terri:
All these programmes (anti-virus, anti-malware or cleaners) have a learning curve. The programmes have got to know your system and your way of working and you and I have to learn how they operate, how we can communicate with them, what the terms mean and even how we can get rid of them completely. Install and forget, could end in a drama.
at present I'm struggling with a new version of Kaspersky -
me: one point / Kasper: thirtyeleven
This makes me tear my last hair out...grrrr

Emsisoft's Mamutu 2.0 is a small download (4 Megs). It is a full commercial product but its automatic updates will require annual subscriptions after the first year. There should be no harm in downloading and activating it today. You can still uninstall/install the program afterwards, as the need arises.

Emsisoft, the makers of the highly regarded a-Squared anti-malware scanner are offering a free 12 month license for their “Mamutu” behavior blocker exclusively to Gizmo Freeware readers.

Behavior blockers detect malware not from their signature but by their actions. That is, they look at what programs on your PC are actually doing and will raise an alarm if that behavior is typical of malware activity.

Because behavior blockers don’t use signatures they can detect new threats not yet in your anti-virus program’s signature database. These new, so called zero-day threats are becoming increasingly common. That’s why a behavior blocker is the perfect companion to a signature based anti-virus program.

Mamutu provides class leading behavioral blocking technology and it’s yours for free.

For all the details how you can take advantage of this offer, visit:
