hi, Buzz...

after "Set Wallpaper", the program prompted me to save the created file...
after saving, the tray icon appeared, with a small popup announcing it was running...
then i closed the program window (icon still in tray) & the wallpaper was running...
XPSP2, MCE...

also, you may want to check your startup programs...
in addition to trying to check for updates when opened, AWM tried to add "Animated Wallpaper Manager" to startup programs...

No, I don't think it's that, Buzz. I think it's the opposite. I didn't download because I just checked the comments out - 8pm edt - and many of the opinions are that it's buggy and people are experiencing a lot of different bugs. I hate to say it, but it might not be worth you trying to iron it out. There's some alternate freeware suggestions mentioned in the comments.

I got xp with sp2, and can see the preview of wallpapers I make with
the program (Animated Wallpaper Maker), but clickin the Set Wallpaper
button does nothing at all. Tried to enable active desktop but it
didn't help. Also when I click the "Set wallpaper" button, there is no
Animated Wallpaper Maker icon in the tray.

What could be wrong with my system setup that this app
fails to work? Any ideas?
