I also am a rather happy Vista user. I've used it for over 2 years and at least 95% of my old software still worked when I converted.</p> <p>I know not all Vista systems seem to have the problem but from what I was reading, some of the HP users WERE having the problem.</p> <p>It does work for me, it's just slow and it takes a couple of minutes to figure out the chaining and scoring once I get to that point. I didn't come very long in it as I have not so much time for my puter at the moment, but so far, the game runs smoothly. I believe that both XP and Vista users were among those having problems. If it had not been such a neat game, I would have dropped it and uninstalled it. However, I contacted Vertigo Games and I've been working with them on the problem.</p> <p>First, they know about the very slow load time in Vista. That was reported during beta testing. The slow responses elsewhere was not reported and they're a bit concerned and confused.</p> <p>The first recommendation was to make sure I had the latest DirectX. It needs version 8 and Vista comes with 10 so that should not be a problem.</p> <p>At this point, it looks like their central driver (GM7) seems to be the problem. They are checking into a way to optimize it's use in Vista. As soon as I have further information, I'll report so others (Vista AND XP) can try to resolve the response problems of this excellent game.</p> <p>Even with the response problem, I'm into Constellation 2 and I've done 4 of the puzzles. I have downloaded the additional puzzle packs from the site but I have not yet installed them.</p> <p>Diane </p>
