I did a bit of cleaning, too many animals walking around on my desk and disabled the touchpad. Later did the trick as far as I can tell. no more jumping around while I'm typing. When you're typing turn off the touchpad and your problem will be solved. On my Acer I do that by holding down the Fn key and hitting F7. To turn it back on just do the same.
