Any advice on how to tell the progam to allow BFG sites? I get a potential dangerous behavior message every time.

I did uninstall and reinstall the printer (drivers, etc). Is that what you mean?

Nothing to worry about really.A freshly installed firewall needs more time to initialize the first couple of days.
If this is not the case, your computer might be a bit low on resources.
If the message keeps bothering you and you know for sure that your firewall is active, you can always disable the warnings in the Security Center by saying you'll monitor your firewall yourself.

About your printing problem ,in the 'My computer hates me' thread.
You've made a point there.A-Squared might have removed some things it shouldn't have.I once ran into the same problem.So I'd suggest you to reinstall the software that came with your printer.

Terri218 if it get stuck at 6%. Try a fast scan fist some times works,All so update reboot & update now try,All so scan say system32 then C:\Windows so no if a loot of spyware you may need to do this like one time I found over 150 take out 40 a time.

Robert, it's weird because according to my Control Panel firewall setting, my firewall is on but I get a pop-up message when I start my computer about half the time saying my firewall is off.

Maybe I'll try running it overnight. When it picks up so much "bad" stuff I get nervous about telling it to fix everything. Who knows, maybe that's why my printer stopped working. It was right after my first scan (which was pretty minimal).

It takes a very long time! I've had the free version running all day today, but it did pick up a lot of stuff which I put in quarantine.

I've tried to run a scan twice and it seems to get stuck at 6%. I know it takes a long time, but should it sit at one point for that long?

If you don't have a firewall installed you can always install the free Outpost FireWall 2009,which is pretty good IMHO.

Since it says the deal is only for a short time, I went ahead and did it I guess I'll uninstall Avira again because I know I can always download it again.

Do you think this is better than Avira and is it OK to have both on your computer at the same time? I read somewhere that it's bad because they compete with each other.
