			<description><p>I'd look closer at the way you're measuring the bitrates.</p>
<p>doeasier.org's <a href="http://links.giveawayoftheday.com/doeasier.org/splitter%2F">free easy video splitter</a>, like dvdvideosoft.com's <a href="http://links.giveawayoftheday.com/dvdvideosoft.com/products%2Fdvd%2FFree-Video-Dub.htm">free video dub</a>, is a direct stream copy app; it doesn't recode, (thus no settings- it doesn't need 'em nor could it use 'em.) just recreates the headers on the split chunks to *match what it finds*, so if the original was variable bitrate, the closest bitrate in the chunk is what the headers show.</p>
<p>I use it all the time along with the companion joiner to clip out commercials from stuff I capture with my ADS DVD Xpress box from the DVR.

			<description><p>Are there any free Video splitter which will split a lossy video without changing the bit rate at all? It is an mpg video. I have used Easy splitter, but the bit rate of the original is 384 and the "split pieces are 160. I can't see any settings to change this.
