Here are three more games from the Game Creation Society. Blocks of the Undead is a Tetris Attack style puzzle game. Motora is a platformer with a grapple. Feature Creep is an old-school space shooter with powerups. All the quotes are from the readmes.

------------------------------------------------------

Blocks of the Undead

The objective is to clear all the blocks on the playing field. Blocks are cleared when there are three of them (or more) in a row. Also, "L-shaped" patterns can be formed, and all the blocks in the L will be cleared. Move the white cursor around on the playing field by moving the mouse, and click to swap the two blocks under the cursor. Press escape to exit, your progress will be saved.

There are three stages, each with six levels. Good luck!

This game is a nice puzzle game that starts off easy and progressively gets harder. Some of the later levels can be quite tricky. Level 2-6 is especially difficult but you can edit the progress.txt to skip a level if you get stuck :)

Download (3 MB):

http://www.gamecreation.org/games/blocks-of-the-undead

------------------------------------------------------

Motora

The goal of the game is simple: reach the end of the level, using you grappling hook to swing around. Kill the enemies with the hook and avoid hazards. If you run out of health, you die. There are a few powerups to aid you in your travels. There are 3 different levels.

In this game you use a grapple to swing around and also shoot enemies. You can find a medkit to restore your health and a shield to absorb one hit.

Controls:

space/up - jump
a/left - move left
d/right - move right
left click - fire rope/reset rope
w/right click - retract rope
s/middle click - release rope
p/pause - pause/unpause
esc - quit/return to menu
backspace - instant death

Download (11 MB):

http://www.gamecreation.org/games/motora

------------------------------------------------------

Feature Creep

Play as ATOMIC DAVE fighting through 32 waves of the evil forces of the SPACE SHOGUN, culminating with a one-on-one battle with the shogun himself! In Feature Creep, you can fight evil, save the planet Earth, laugh, cry, and -- most importantly -- go on the most noble of all pursuits: more powerups!

You can enable powerups after getting enough points. It's too bad they don't have a list of what all the powerups are. The most important appear to be the S that increases movement speed, F that increases fire rate, and H that restores your health. Most powerups are single use so they should only be used in emergencies. The gameplay is a bit average but at least you can continue if you die but you lose all your powerups.

CONTROLS:
Arrow Keys: Move ship
Spacebar (Hold): Fire plasma bolts and powerups
Enter: Pause the game
Escape: End game, or quit while on the menu screen
