Thanks, Wizzard. Luckily I do have 3d glasses. The Blurst version is very nice.

Very nice wizzard. Thankfully I already had two pairs of 3D specs from a couple of posters we bought our children a few years ago. The specs are stuck to the bottom of the posters with blu tak to ensure they didn't get lost (most of you will appreciate what kids are like keeping their toys in order).

It really does amaze me how 'we' keep finding these gems. Great find wizzard. I love unusual indie games.

Check out Bluberry Garden which has just been added to Steam. it is just under $4 but a great platform game. It's the one I mentioned to you wizzard yesterday before they released it on Steam today, though I called it 'Bears no Fruit'. I was hoping it was another freebie, but less than $5 is almost free, lol. (You can download a demo via steam if you wish).

I'm filling in for rabbit today because he is filling in for me on Monday. I'll be out of town all weekend at our country club and won't have time to post one. He didn't have a game to post for today, so we decided it was an even trade. Anyway...

Today's game is called Paper Moon. This game is awesomely cool, especially for those of you who have a pair of red/blue (red/cyan) 3D glasses. Paper Moon is your basic platformer where you control a paper thin character who has varying enemies to defeat along the way. But you have no weapons, you don't fight, and you can't jump on them. How are you to defeat them? The answer to this question is one of the best parts of this game. You hit the spacebar button to pop objects in and out of the screen. You simply wait until the enemy (usually a crab) moves in front of the object that it is in the background and hit spacebar to knock it out of the screen. This is the other best part of the game...the objects fly towards you in 3D! Awesome! Not only will you use the spacebar to defeat enemies, you must also pop items in and out in order to advance through the levels.

The levels are relatively short and the game as a whole is very short, but I felt that it deserved some attention. I know what you are thinking...I don't have 3D glasses! I'll take care of that later for you. However, Blurst.com has a newer version of the game that is sans 3D, but has more content and cleaner graphics. Of the two you will want to play the Blurst version more so than the other but the original deserves your attention as well. The only drawback is that it is browser based. Blurst would like for you to become a member so that you can keep track of your score and achievements, but you can play as guest instead. If you have a chance, check Blurst out because it is a great browser based site.

3D Glasses

Ok so I know most of us probably don't have a pair of 3D glasses sitting around. Well that's no problem because I'm going to help you get a pair. You have two options...You can send a S.A.S.E. (self addressed stamped envelope) to the companies below, or you can make one yourself. Either way, I'll be showing you cheap ways to get your hands on one.

The first option will cost you about $.88 in stamps. Rainbow Symphony and 3D Science News will send you a pair free if you send a S.A.S.E. in an envelope to:

I do suggest including a letter just to state that you want the free glasses. I sent one to each of the companies and instead of asking for the red/blue glasses from Rainbow, I asked for the 3D TV Glasses (more info below.)

Rainbow does offer more than just the red/blue 3D glasses, you should check their site out to see the others they offer.

For those of you who would rather get your hands dirty (or perhaps spend some quality time with your kids) you can make your own 3D glasses. Follow the link below for instructions from the US Government (experts I guess) on how to construct your own pair of 3D glasses.
