There's so much to catch up on lol. As this is the kids last day of their school half term I've let them take over all the computers in the study with their friends, so I've been catching up on some of the films I've till to watch. Geez where does the week go? Ok so you should know by now that our beloved rabbit has been vacationing in sunny Florida for the last two weeks and the esteemed reverseOrder took over for him last week. I offered to handle today's game for rO so he could enjoy a little extra time off for taking the burden off rabbit's and my shoulder. So without further ado...</p> <p>Today we have 3 more excellent indie games that I am so excited about. In case you missed it I posted <a href="http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/forums/topic/5472"> my favorite games of the week</a> on Wednesday. These are <strong>EXTREMELY</strong> close in ranking. The first game is an extremely awesome and fun shmup called Bite the Bullet. Next is one of the harder platformers I've played and it's name is Xycle. Last but certainly not least is Ether Vapor. Ether vapor is an absolutely stunning shmup/flight sim.</p> <p>_____________________________________________________________________</p> <p><strong>Bite the Bullet</strong></p> <p>Bite the Bullet is such an awesomely done shmup, there aren't enough words to describe. The minimalist graphics make it that much cooler. In this shmup, you find yourself facing an enemy that doesn't give up. Everytime you kill it, it comes back bigger and badder than ever. You aren't only dodging bullets in this one, but you're racing the clock. If you defeat the enemy quick enough, it comes back even harder. The kicker of this game is that it learns from how you defeat it (kind of like the robot in the Impossibles movie.) You gotta think quick and you gotta have really good reflexes. In this game, you ride a stick figured motor cycle at high speeds and are stuck with the task of jumping from one pillar to the next. This is a very high speed game and requires precision to know when exactly to jump. The graphics for this game is out of the world. This game is in Japanese however and it is rather hard to figure out. Once you get the hang of it though, you'll enjoy it. The flights take place in multiple views which is what makes this game so cool. It took me the longest time to figure out how to advance from the main menu. You will need to hit the Z button which acts like the normal Enter button does in most games. You will then select new game and you will create your profile and then set up some options. You will definitely want to map your own buttons so you know what is going on. The only thing I don't much care about with this game is the sound. I'd like some better sounds out of this title but other than that I'm pleased. This game is only a trial however so don't expect hours of gameplay out of it. The download site is also in Japanese.
