I have found that when you do a drive copy to another drive, it does erase everything that is on the new or larger drive! If that's the case, first copy all the files you want to keep on your external onto the C: drive so they will be on the external when all is copied.

If it's telling you you're external hard drive is 0, or anything a lot less than 1TB, then Paragon is not recognizing the external drive properly. Sometimes the drivers in the giveaway's don't recognize every disk drive, even if Windows does recognize it. They're may not be any way around that. And Paragon is probably wanting to erase the drive. I'm not using it, so I don't know if you can shut that function off.

Hello,
My external is very new, it still has 951GB free space, the Drive C which I need to copy is about 56GB, I do not know why I can not copy drive C to my external HDD, why is this program used for?
By the way if i choose to copy all of the hard disk to my ex-HDD, it said it will delete all of the file that I had in that ex-HDD before, I can not agree with that.
Please tell me what to do, thank you so much.

Joe

How much space is there left on your external; maybe it's indicating that there isn't enough space to copy the hard drive from your computer rather than saying there's no space left? I recently backed up one of my hard drives onto a new 1Tb external and it filled more than half of it. You need to have enough space on the hard drive to copy the entire contents of your computers hard drive. I don't know whether the back up is zipped at this point as I've not had chance to use this product yet because all my externals are almost full and I need to buy a new one before I can back up more of my computers drives.

regards

I think it'd be better to use a backup software to do that. I think the recovery CD is universal across the Paragon line, so you might be able to use that if you got a Paragon backup image...

Can this be used to reformat, like not having to go through the whole process but using this to reinstall everything if a reformat is needed?
