			<description><p>Activation has nothing to do with your browser AFAIK. The only thing that happens is a page is opened in your browser after activation has finished - your activation is still finished even if the browser page does not open (if it all works properly that is).

			<description><p>I haven;t done anything with my firewall anywhere near the time this started. Things were fine before then. I haven't even used IE 8, Windows Update just installed it.

			<description><p>The last few days, I've been unable to activate GOTD software. It just occurred to me that my previous windows update (for vista home basic) installed IE 8. I think that that is when the problem started. I get "Failed to connect. Please try again later" every time I try, and I've tried a lot with each download over the past few days.
