It seems this version of the advisor is less fancy than the Vista version. I guess that's only because Vista has so many versions. Win7 only has 3.

The intro page for the advisor is here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/get/upgrade-advisor.aspx
The download page that you're actually supposed to start at is: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=150737 (I think they automatically updates this link when there are updates to the advisor.

Hello guys,
I've been testing W7 since the beta was released. You will not be able to download W7 beta anymore. You can still download W7 RC that runs until July 2010. Any way I haven't any problems with it so far.

:)

Thanks Lee for the post,If you haven’t had the chance to download the free Windows 7 installation package, you shouldn’t miss the opportunity. Microsoft has announced that the disk image of the Release Candidate will be available only until August 20. Product keys for new installations will still be distributed after that date, so there is still plenty of time to put Windows 7 through its paces before it hits store shelves on October 22.2009, The Release Candidate is time-limited.
On March 01, 2010, any computer with the RC installed will begin shutting down every two hours. On June 01, that computer will not start up at all.

Thinking of upgrading to Windows 7?

Thinking about creating a partition and beta testing Windows 7?

Well find out what will conflict with the Windows 7.

The Upgrade Advisor analyzes your system hardware, showing areas that are fine and

informing you of others that could be troublesome when it comes time to upgrade to the

final version of Windows 7. In addition to this, it can detect any USB devices you may

have (like printers or cameras) and tell if they will work fine, or if not, the course

of action to take when the need to use them arises.
