Of course you only need one RSS reader - whether it be Google, FeedDemon, Your Browser, or your email client. (I use FeedDemon - but any of the above will work ok).

The advantage of using RSS to receive updates etc - is that more and more websites support the subscribing for updates to be sent to your RSS reader.

Alternatively following GOTD via Twitter is also an option that can deliver giveaway news more timely than the current email service.
