The GOTD Team has also posted to their Blog explaining the matter also.

Users who are having problems with emails that arrive after the conclusion of a giveaway promotion, could try another alternative (one that I use myself).

Setting up RSS Reader

What is RSS in plain English? | video

Simplify the web with RSS | link

FeedDemon 3.0 (Beta) | link

Google Reader | link

RSS in Firefox: A Complete Guide | link

in Mozilla Thunderbird. | link

RSS newsfeeds in Opera Mail | link

RSS Feeds in Outlook 2000/XP/2003 and Outlook Express | link

================================================

Of course you only need one RSS reader - whether it be Google, FeedDemon, Your Browser, or your email client. (I use FeedDemon - but any of the above will work ok).

The advantage of using RSS to receive updates etc - is that more and more websites support the subscribing for updates to be sent to your RSS reader.

Alternatively following GOTD via Twitter is also an option that can deliver giveaway news more timely than the current email service.
