Robert....it was every game I had downloaded from gamehouse.

It seems the problem is fixed. Hubby ran some scans and found some issues and did some fixes. Also, the last game I downloaded which was "The Race" seemed to be the main problem so I deleted that one. Everything seems to be running fine....actually better than before. So I'm a happy camper once again and hubby got his dinner tonight (Good thing after being sent to his room a few days ago...ha ha).

Anyway.....thanks again....end of issue.....

Notblocklox.....guess you can close another thread :)
Thanks
BK

OH I see.....I wondered why you called it "DRM". Well, I dont know why that should cause a problem "all of a sudden", like I said, I've been running their games for months and haven't done anything differently. I'm running a Spyware Doctor scan now so I'll see if that tells me anything. I'll let you know.

No, BK, I did not mean that Virus, but:

DRM at Gamehouse

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_rights_management

The ads are less scary - that's what I think.

not-lox.....I thought of that too, but the problem began either Sunday or Monday which was before the "nasty DRM" issue so I don't "THINK" that's the problem......but then what do I know????

But thanks for your input :)
I hesitated using Gamehouse too when I heard about the ads and all, but then they offered a game I couldn't refuse so I tried it and have been downloading since. The ads really aren't that bad. They only pop up maybe every half hour except in one game where they were popping up like every 2 minutes or less. That One I got rid of....it drove me bonkers! :)

Hi, BK, you know I am only a wannabe nerd and so I have no answer but a question for our techies: Could that have anything to do with that nasty DRM?
As I read the small print at Gamehouse I decided not to go there and not to get games of them. Well I have actually found one on my USB drive and did not delete it :p - The Little Shop... and that runs fine.

Correction....Gamehouse's help is non-existent. You get in a loop of; login, contact cust service, enter info in form, get asked to create account, get told your email already exists (of course it does, I have an account that I've already logged into....duh) which takes you back to the same form. ARGH!!!!!!!

Has anyone had problems with a system freeze whenever you try to run a Gamehouse game? I've had no problems for months, but suddenly I can't run them. As soon as I click a game to start it my pointer stops and just freezes. If I do a ctrl/alt/del to run task manager, it will go to the list where you have to choose to start task manager....but that's it. I can't shut down, restart....nothing. My only optiion is to do a manual shut down and restart. BTW I'm running Windows Vista. Would appreciate any help. (Gamehouse isn't very good at helping out with issues).
Thanks
BK
